The Road I Chose

Whenever my spirits sink , I ask myself a question
Isn’t it enough to have credibility and accretion???

Life often makes you stand at diversion of roads
But where eventually it leads there are no sign-boards.

Trusting your instincts you ought to take a decision
And no matter what you gotta evince some adhesion.

Some back-stabber ruined my chance of success to kiss
Now I realize even my own shadow isn’t the true accomplice.

Fortunately the experiences bring out some of my genetic endowments
I’ve enjoyed my fair share of luck , I’ve also had my moments.

Joy & sorrow , success & failure , peace & strife
I heartily accept this part & parcel of life.

I’ll scoop the pool of difficulties that future may propose
Coz i still have an article of faith in
The Road I Chose.

THE GIRL NEXT DOOR

Like any other day, walking down the lane
Something I saw which made my heartbeat to soar
Refreshing like the crimsoned sunlight in the morning
I thought I saw the perfect girl next door.

Feet stuck to the ground, eyes admiring her aura
Nobody could even long for more
Still confused between dream and reality
I was mesmerised by the girl next door.

I started thinking about her night and day
She was beautiful from both surface and the core
I had always mocked the committed emotional fools
Now I fell in love with the girl next door.

The world suddenly started to seem awesome
The Romeo inside me started to roar.
I knew the purpose of my birth on this planet
I was born for the girl next door.

Meetings increased and we started to know each other more
She was the masterpiece of God I could swore
An epic love story was in the way of making
Of me with my girl next door.

Her presence in MY world made it a better place
But the future had something else in store.
She met with a dreadful accident on the way to meet me
Now in coma is my girl next door.

I had made grievous mistakes in the past
But is this the way the devils settle score?
That was the day I felt helpless
I prayed, I cried for my girl next door.

Everyday I wish I could change places with her
And she comes alive breaking her everlasting snore
Holding her hands but still missing her smile
I will wait Forever for my girl next door!!!

Letter From A Broken Heart

My life has always been
Just like a roller-coaster ride
Testing my journey with highs and lows
I always chose to move along the tide.

Never expected my life to take such a turn
That my tuned life became unversed
I lost the love of the girl who has my heart
What did I do to deserve such a curse?

With you I laughed , I cherished
Without you I cried , I perished
With you the sun overhead was bright
Without you the eclipse shadowed the light.

You were right that you craved perfection
And I am overflowing with flaws
You fulfilled your “ well-wisher’s “  desire to leave me
I am sure they will give you an applause.

You may find a man worthy of your stature
But I bet no one can love you more
I will still be waiting for you forever
All you gotta do is open the door.

The Global Climax

To the humans , to the wild
To the matured , to the child.

You open your eyes bulging out in shock
You are still asleep ; the nature started to mock.

She stood there smiling at your ambition & greed
Was it the evolution or innocence of the breed?

Yesterday was lively , beautiful & joyous
Present horrific ; tomorrow dubious.

It seemed the Gods poured out their wrath
The ego of man never took account of this math.

Your gravious mistakes even made the time stood still
No fault of blossoming buds yet they had to pay the bill.

Everyone in dilemma whether to face it or to hide
These decisions didn’t matter now ; every soul on earth cried

The pain was enormous & blood flowed like a stream
Mankind was helpless ; we could only scream & scream.

We were warned earlier to control our lust
Or before scheduled time we would return back to Dust.

Face the greatest disaster in the history of the earth
Freezing some areas ; others like burning in a hearth.

The situation if faced would put anybody in trance
Oh almighty Lord! Can’t you give one more chance?

The judgement day may still be far but surely not a joke
I realised in astonishment when my friend started to poke.

Prof. Yelling at me with his face turned  red
I had fallen asleep ; table acting as my bed.

Owing to boring lectures I had started dreaming
Truth & fear in mind ; future was weaving.

Whole class laughed and gave me a look of wretched creature
But for the first time I was overjoyed to see the teacher.

So let’s be thankful to the venerable old earth
The beautiful planet where you took birth.

The Last Time

When was the last time you woke up in the morning
Stepped in your balcony & saw the sky dawning.

When was the last time you enjoyed your morning tea
Reading your newspaper ; peacefully & carefree.

When was the last time your morning walk so cool
Your child’s hand in yours and you walk him to school.

When was the last time you had a healthy breakfast
Made what you loved and enjoyed to the last.

When was the last time YOU planned your day
A smile on your face even when you had to pay.

When was the last time your evening so full of light
You welcoming with open arms the silence of the night.

When was the last time you thanked the almighty God
Asking redemptions for your sins from the supreme Lord.

When was the last time your heart devoid of strife
When was the last time you enjoyed your life.

We say we’re evolving to achieve perfection at par
But the scenario portrays a question;
DO WE REALLY ARE?

Life Teaches U Everyday

From the moment we are born
Till the time we are gone
No matter if you are bored or gay
Life teaches you everyday.

When you were playing just for fun
Or working for hours just to earn your bun
Taking a break , walking by the bay
Life teaches you everyday.

If your failure always haunted
Or you achieved all you wanted
For giving the try the time you pay
Life teaches you everyday.

After the celebrations which you did
The upcoming  challenges so cleverly  you hid
Dead as silence in distress you lay
Life teaches you everyday.

Like a damaged ship which is about to sink
Or a submarine going underwater trying a hoodwink
For your wrong decisions when you faced a flay
Life teaches you everyday.

Coming forward in crisis like a saviour
Or sitting aloof from the world eating your caviare
Enlighting the world like the sun with its ray
Life teaches you everyday.

Guided by my experience from the past
Nothing in this world forever last
My inner reactions forces me to say
Life teaches you everyday.
